Bringing thousands to Rocket Padel’s grand openings.
An event-driven launch strategy for three new padel facilities in Viborg, Randers and Esbjerg, combining local content, Facebook Events and paid awareness.

Rocket Padel’s expansion into Denmark called for more than awareness: the new facilities needed people through the doors on opening day. ODIA combined local content, Facebook Event campaigns, paid reach and community partnerships to support launches in Viborg, Randers and Esbjerg.

Starting point
The challenge
As an international padel chain entering new Danish cities, Rocket Padel needed to stand out quickly and turn awareness into attendance on a specific launch day.
- A competitive local market: Cities such as Viborg already had a crowded padel market. Each new facility needed a clear reason for local people to visit.
- One day to create momentum: The ambition was to bring thousands of people to each opening and establish an active, welcoming centre from day one.
- More than a sports facility: Rocket Padel wanted each centre to feel like a second home — a place to spend time, meet friends and return to beyond a single game.
What we did
The launch strategy
The campaign connected ongoing local storytelling with a clear event destination, supported by paid advertising and community partnerships.
- 1
A Facebook Event funnel
Campaign traffic was directed into dedicated Facebook Events, capturing interest and keeping prospective attendees connected ahead of launch day.
- 2
Paid awareness
Advertising extended the reach beyond existing followers, introducing Rocket Padel to local audiences who did not yet know the brand.
- 3
Local partnerships
Sponsorships with local banks supported giveaways and helped anchor each opening in its surrounding community.
Progress
Building the second-home feeling
The supplied ad examples show how the messaging invited people into the wider Rocket Padel experience, not only onto the courts.
- 1
An open invitation
Viborg messaging welcomed people whether or not they played padel: to study, finish work or spend time with friends at the facility.
- 2
An active community calendar
Other creative highlighted regular activities for beginners and experienced players alike, giving people reasons to follow the centre and return.
- 3
Local relevance, consistent presence
Centre-specific creative and paid distribution reinforced the same welcoming message throughout the launch campaign.
Results
Thousands reported attendees per opening event
Reported launch outcomes and an event-campaign example from the supplied case study:
| Metric | Result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Attendance | Thousands per event | Reported grand-opening attendance |
| Cost per interest | 6 DKK | Summary figure in the case study |
| Event responses | 237 | Shown in the campaign screenshot |
| Cost per event response | 7.15 DKK | Shown in the campaign screenshot |
| Campaign reach | 16,184 | Event-engagement campaign |
| Campaign impressions | 45,378 | Event-engagement campaign |
The document reports 6 DKK per interest in its summary, while the accompanying event-campaign screenshot shows 7.15 DKK per event response. These are presented separately, not as an identical measurement. The document also pairs 6 DKK with €0.46, which is not a consistent currency conversion; the DKK figure is retained here. Event responses are not confirmed attendees, and no exact attendance count or reporting period is supplied.
